I tried for a few months (invited a bunch of neighbours who didn't know the group existed and so tripled its size), but people are extremely passive and unengaged. I don't want 80% of group activity to be me ๐Ÿ˜…

It's not ideal, but it still means that 20% is from others, which is more than you would have had before.

I've helped found a couple of different types of groups now. It's not easy, but often worth the effort.

Tbh I was conservative with that 80%. I'm a very private and introverted person, being the social butterfly of a group is just exhausting, esp. when there's clearly no interest from others ๐Ÿคท
