A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

While I agree that all would be great, it's the power they hold with the money and they won't hold the same power if us little people have those rights. Like imagine if everyone had enough of a safety net to protest one of the disgustingingly rich person's ideas? They'd blow a gasket thinking they can't be told otherwise.
The entitlement that comes with that weath is part of the issue is all I mean, that's why these people with their wealth fuck up things. They are the idiot yelling at the minimum wage person but have the resources to buy the freaking franchise to get their way. They never learned no (or forgot) and that sometimes things don't work out for them. That's what we usually teach toddlers and young kids in general. They just made so much that they have no respect for anyone else or society.
No more billionaires is a good ideal to forward society to be better.
Okay if there's a unicorn billionaire out there that is cool but if they were cool they'd be pushing for all the stuff mentioned in the previous comment.
They are a noticable chunk of the reason that things are like they are now but I rarely hear one pushing for anything on your list and fewer doing anything about it.
Maybe a bit harsh and I missed some people who try but really can't think of anyone in the billionaire club that cares about the wage slave but wants to exploit them instead.
I owe you a longer reply but dialysis is early so bed now but I basically agree.
Only will argue that Dolly Parton was about as good as it gets - she didn't make billionaire because of her philanthropy. Not perfect, some of it is good PR, but also I think a pretty decently ethical multimillionaire. :)
But very few are.
You said enough and I get it, I may have been too broad in judgement, and everything I've heard about her has been that she was one of the sweetest and nicest people you could meet. Like one in a billion.
I was sad to hear she passed any person helping that many kids read is not just helping the kids but helping society improve. We could use more of that these days even in small bits.

Well, any big wealth like she accumulated comes from exploiting the system, one way or the other, although it's easier to argue that a performer might be exploiting less than someone like Musk.
And also - not that I'm defending her, but a point someone brought up that I think is salient in her case - she probably would've broken a billion except for all the charity work she did.
But that said, we gotta tax wealth in a serious way that we're not. Charity is good, but government raising taxes and providing a safety net for all is better. Her work was good, but I don't think I benefitted - I don't have to, but y'know, not everyone did. (not relaly sure offhand what billionaire chairty has benefitted me, but either way, proper taxing of the wealthy should have given me and everyone else social safety nets).
So probably we have very little in the way of disagreement on this topic. hehe
