the articles says PCB are set to rise 50% but the post title says mobo prices are going to rise 50%-- which is it? those are vastly different things
it appears to be both.
Isn't a motherboard just a large PCB with sockets?
maybe i'm getting my terminology bass ackwards, but i thought PCB meant just the platform with connections between contact points, hence printed circuit board, while a motherboard is a PCB with all the components, integrated shit (BIOS, onboard graphics/audio, wifi, etc.) soldered on and ready to build
It's a situation where all MOBOs are PCBs, but not all PCBs are MOBOs.
