That's good to know and clears up a lot of things. I have made it a requirement that I walk 5 days a week. I keep it business, Mon to Fri then rest over the weekend to recover, but I may miss a weekday and end up doing a weekend. Not a fan, but it keeps me disciplined. Today was actually really easy and is making me consider pushing myself up over the next few months, but gradually. But I am weak on strength training, so I need to figure all of this out and maybe do that. Thanks.
More muscles will consume more kcal. You could lose the 1.5kg simply by eating at maintenance and working out over a few months.
Of course it's good to push yourself from tome to time, usually thats just done in a slightly smaller increments. But it's good to hear that you're talking it well.
No worries about the strength training part, first thing is to solidify training habit. Once thats done, it's much easier to slightly tweak it and slowly add or switch few walking days to resistance training days.
