This statement doesn't contradict yours, they only said they avoid Alienware branded monitors now.

That does not mean the inverse statement is also true, they didn't say they recommended the whole brand of monitors before.

Maybe they recommended specific models with Alienware branding before and will not do so in the future because of this bloatware.
