This level of celebrity worship is so bizarre.

Honestly, $25 feels kinda low. Each bag could contain stuff that is worth much more, even minus the celebrity bonus.

I'd agree, but the bags weren't what was sold - it was a plastic cube with something like a cubic inch of trash inside. There's a pic elsewhere in the thread.

I saw it. $25 for that? Un-fucking-believable. Like selling off the Berlin wall bit by bit, except that really was a piece of history.

Man I hate to have to agree with this because it's just so loathsome, but weddings always have like personalized tchotchkes on the table and shit and if you manage to snag one of those in your $25 bag you'd probably get a thousand dollars for it on ebay.

But "from the edge of a love story" is odd wording. I really would think such bigtime celebrities would see to it that their trash was removed themselves for exactly this reason and that this isn't just random garbage from nearby dumpsters.

I was thinking about that, but what are they supposed to do? Pay for secret cremation? That sounds even worse.
This is obviously the result of one person in the removal chain, far enough removed to go unnoticed, thinking they can make some money out of it.
