I got the allergy test too, except it was two or three rows down my right arm. I was terrified of needles back then, and injecting me with trace amounts of common toxins to see which ones I reacted to was not fun.

These days I'm not bothered at all by needles. (Never had a lumbar puncture though.) I love fucking with phlebotomists (people who draw blood), especially if they're good at it. I love to act like it really hurt. I always tell them though, that I'm just playing, and if they're good at it. It's fun. Had a flu shot, doctor came in with a really long needle. I remember saying that looks like it'll hurt. He started with the "it'll be over in a minute." I don't scream or anything when they push it in, I don't want them to jump or anything. But it was like, "oh that's it?" Good times.
