I've got no problem here. It might've only been temporarily blocked. LGBTQ+ stuff isn't illegal in China, just porn. Unfortunately for steam most games with the LGBTQ+ tag also have the NSFW or Hentai tags, which are blocked.
But searching with the LGBTQ+ tag seems to work at this point.
Yet the LGBTQ+ content in Guild Wars 2 was still stripped out in China :/
I'm not able to find any information on that, can you post a source? The closest I've found is GW2 just censoring LGBTQ+ content globally.

Weird that thread's no longer there on Tieba, but since I don't play the game and can't find any other reference I'll assume it's real. Foreign companies do tend to get the weirdest advice to pass NPPA and they were a lot more strict in order to encourage domestic competition even just a few years ago, like the 'skulls' censorship in blizzard games.
I can say safely though there are plenty of Chinese made NPPA approved games with LGBT representation, just like there are plenty of skulls.
I'll have to take your word for it :3
