I'm still on 7.2 myself, and I don't intend to switch to internal boot. However, I keep an eye on the Unraid subreddit, and from what I've seen there internal boot is working well for most people that have switched. I would maybe review any posts on the Unraid forum before proceeding.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and updated to latest (lots of CVEs I figures I needed to) but I put off internal boot.

I did see that once enabled during the upgrade cycle you can't roll back.

So that told me, get up to date, and then do the change after.

Everything seems to have updated smoothly, although I haven't started all my containers but the main ones including adguard seemed to work.
