I have never heard or read of anybody saying that people should "Vote Trump because Kamala supports Israel" until this moment.

[–] lavander@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I think the reference here are the various “they are the same” “I will not vote for giving a signal” or “I hope she will lose” that ultimately advantage Trump

That's not actually what is written there.

Surelly if the author had mean to write "Don't vote Kamala, she supports Israel" the author would have written that instead of "Vote Trump, she supports Israel".

Unless the author was purposefully trying to be obtuse and deceitful and explicitly make far greater accusations on others than they can actually support in any way form or shape but having an out of claiming "what I really meant was ", kinda like some people go around insulting others and when called out will say "just joking".

It's almost as if the people throwing this shit around aren't exactly honest.

You are technically correct… but from the fact that this meme has 600+ votes, it means the majority of the people understand the not literal spirit of the meme.

Not voting is not the same as voting for trump

You may be surprised from the end result of one side not voting my friend

Why should voters support a party whose interests are anathema to most people, even their own base? Genuine question.

This is the beauty of two party system.

In Italy at the time of Berlusconi (interesting guy, very similar to another powerful guy of today), there was a two party system… and these conversations happened.

The situation got unblocked when another major left leaning party emerged… for then now having a neo fascist in power… so things are not so easy anyway

God the entitlement of democrat fetishist is just insufferable. Democrats are not entitled to votes, they have to earn them. Rather than criticising voters for apathy from a system that has given them nothing why not criticise democrats for their failures to convince voters to vote for them with popular policies.

I am not a democrat (or even American) but I just leave here a saying from my hometown “today for spite on my wife, I cut my dick”

Sure, keep in punishing democrats by submitting yourself to suffering… I am sure they will feel it for you…. Politicians are excluded from suffering anyway
