He's literally said that about POWs from Vietnam and WW2.

Why the fuck would the Mustard Mussolini be any different now?

He has said that in the past. When talking about McCain, who was a downed Navy pilot that got captured. Why would they care now?

Not just shot down & captured. He spent 5 1/2 years as a POW, enduring both torture & years of solitary confinement.

While a POW his father was named commander of all US forces in Vietnam. The Vietnamese offered to release him then as a propaganda tool, but he refused.

I’m sure President Bone-spurs would have jumped at such a chance to be released like that. Assuming he would have survived the solitary confinement & torture.

Because this is an active conflict he started, and his voters are on those carrier groups.

Anyway, he may have died, so this may end up being JD & Marco’s problem

I don't think you understand the mindset of soldiers once they graduate from the academy. They eat a shit sandwich and they know it, but they'll be the gordamn best shit eaters there are

You misunderstand. He's not panicking because he cares about any of them. He knows it makes him look bad, makes the military look inept and poorly run that he's commander in chief over, and he has no one left to blame. He hand picked everyone running this shit show. He's looking for an out, for himself, and is panicking because he can't see one.
