Are you asking me or telling me? Because either way no it isn't. Laws are bullshit and you should break them just on principle.

In the case of this gentleman, I suppose not. However, I believe that driving after consuming drugs that impede your ability to drive should have a punishment of some kind. It is a matter of public safety. It's irresponsible to drink and drive, it's irresponsible to be on heroin while driving.
Agreed. But it should be your own morality that prevents that. A law shouldn't even be something you consider when making the decision not to.
