The US oil industry is doing really well as a result too — at least the owners are anyways.
Oh yeah, next year, they will announce that they record record profits, and made more money than they ever had in the past, which means they gouged us mercilessly. Then they'll call for layoffs.
I heard someone on one of the political shows this morning, saying that when the oil companies celebrate their profits, we should hit them with a huge windfall tax, and give every American a rebate check. I'm all for that.
Yeah, the oil industry owners are salivating over the potential war profits
Problem is that the Republican party is a patronage machine heavily funded by the billionaires who own the oil industry, so a tax like that won't pass while they hold power
