Ok i have realised I may need more help than maybe just the internet. I am dilled with queations. Does anyone have any reccommemdations for say gardening companies who can help with gardening advice? I wish I had a Nonna to ask but alas I do not.
Local nurseries can be useful to talk to people. Maybe check out the back catalogues of gardening australia and Better Homes and Gardens to find an answer to a specific question. Or your local library might have a gardening section, if you get lucky there might be a few hyperlocal books for your area in that as well.
Finally, I know that on the first weekend of each season Kalamunda has a garden show in Stirk Park. Its fairly big, the time I went Costa from Gardening Australia was there. Kalamunda Garden Festival. Looks like the next one is on June 7th for Winter. I reckon you could find advice and gardening learning resources there, plus a nice way to spend a weekend. :)
