After the recent DDoS Attacks and therefore the death of hardcore characters, Blizzard will revive these characters which have died during these attacks.

This will not mean that they will generally revive hardcore characters, but they will take into credit that server issues are not something players should be punished further with.

Greetings,

Recently, we have experienced unprecedented distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks that impacted many Blizzard game services, including Hardcore realms, with the singular goal of disrupting players’ experiences. As we continue our work to further strengthen the resilience of WoW realms and our rapid response time, we’re taking steps to resurrect player-characters that were lost as a result of these attacks. Unlike the many other ways characters can die in Hardcore, DDoS attacks are an intentionally malicious effort made by third-party bad actors, and we believe the severity and results of DDoS attacks specifically warrant a different response.

In the future, Blizzard may elect – at our sole discretion – to revive Hardcore characters that perish in a mass event which we deem inconsistent with the integrity of the game, such as a DDoS attack.

Our broader stance on character restorations or death appeals has not changed. To be clear, we do not intend to revive characters which have died due to server disconnects, lag spikes, gameplay bugs, or any other reasons. Blizzard Customer Support cannot assist with issues related to characters who have died on Hardcore realms.

Thank you, as always, for your feedback.

Blizzard is changing their service to rename guilds.

From April 22 on, a guild name change can not be bought with real money, but costs 200.000 Gold in game.

Let's get some new chat started in here.

Wondering where everyone stands on horrific visions, are you looking forward to having them back in their new form or slightly dreading it?

For me, it was one of the better parts of BFA so I'm intrigued to see what they do with it. I'm all for getting updated and additive versions of older content.

I didn't mind it last time we had this one because I was still doing baby dunfeons but boy do I hate it now. Ran a couple keys last night and the affix fucked us at least once per run. Besides the obvious bugs like orbs getting stuck in unreachable locations (on the ship in dawnbreaker, between the walkways in grim batol), we also had orbs spawn during Speaker Dorlita's Blazing Crescendo in Stonevault both times we ran it.

I thought last week's was the worst because the add spawned at the end of so many fights but I think I hate this one more.

This thing costs as much as a Deluxe edition expansion… but I kinda want it…

Good tuning changes. Mostly dealing with the mechanics that felt unfair instead of just blanket nerfs to the dungeons.

They could also take a look at some of the timers as well for tuning.

As a healer M+ are pretty much not fun. Everything can destroy your tank or your team, even if they play pretty well. People still die in 2 seconds even with 60% more life

Just venting, I don't thing I'll play season 2 at the beginning, I'll probably play when the dungeons have been balanced.

Really enjoyed last years. Can’t wait to see how this one goes!

For anyone unfamiliar with TGP, it is like NFL Redzone but for WoW.
