Time machines already exist and they're in the guise of space telescopes. In 1995, one such time machine called Hubble peered into a small patch of empty sky for ten days straight.

For the scientists on Earth, it was a huge, expensive gamble.

What emerged from Hubble's patient gaze was a glittering array of 3,000 galaxies and billions of years of history staring right back at us.

South Korea is heading toward a demographic collapse unlike anything the world has seen before. With the lowest fertility rate ever recorded and a rapidly aging population, the country faces a future of economic decline, shrinking cities, cultural erosion, and a vanishing workforce.
By 2060, nearly half of South Koreans could be over the age of 65, and entire regions may be abandoned as the population continues to shrink.
How did South Korea reach this point? Why might it no longer be possible to reverse the trend? And what does this mean for other countries on a similar path?

First-time NFB collaborator Arash Akhgari crafts a striking visual meditation on the seductive yet overwhelming nature of mass media. Combining handmade sculptural collages with ink and paint animation, In the Shallows immerses viewers in the fragmented world of news, entertainment, and ads—an intoxicating current that threatens to drown our perception of reality. As we lose ourselves in endless streams of images and information, our inner worlds are inundated with outside noise, turning us into mere shadows of ourselves. Through its hypnotic imagery and innovative animation techniques, the film offers a powerful reflection on the digital age and the loss of authentic connection. undefined

Of all Shakespeare’s plays, perhaps none is stranger than “Macbeth”— a parable on power rife with supernatural elements. But according to texts from the 11th century, this tragedy has its roots in reality. What’s more, other accounts mention witches, prophecies, and arboreal armies. Which raises the question: just how much of Shakespeare’s strange story is true? Benjamin Hudson investigates.

The sections preceding where I've linked I think are the video creator recounting their experiences with for profit creative software and how it's let them down.

Link starts at the section, "Modern Software Development Sucks For Everyone" as that's where I thought it probably cut to the main point, and I appreciated the video from there.

As a bonus there's a fun 3D animation background story going throughout that makes it more fun. Plus a lot of the other visual design going on has that charming sort of retro style.

Video Description:

Accountants are all boring losers with terrible jobs. Or are they?

I’m almost positive they are. But just to make sure, every member of the Good Work Investigative News Team (there’s 12 of us) did 5 years of school, a year of practical work experience, then took the CPA exam to find out whether we should give a hoot about accountants. They then told Dan about their findings, and he developed an opinion from it.
