If I am being pretty honest with you, I thought about leaving Lemmy before due to multiple reasons+ the culture of hate here.

But I always think about the alternatives and I don't find many.

As long as there is no a better alternative to Reddit, I am staying.

Why are most people here are negative and rude?

Just to be clear here, I am not talking about instance, rather I am asking about the whole community.

There is no one I seen here who even had expressed any passion towards anything really.

I cannot understand how did that happen?

It appears that Google is letting Reddit's AI translated pages rank too well within its search results. This is in addition to Google letting Reddit get a lot of other search visibility, but AI translation, well, that should really not perform so well.

When I started angel investing in the late 1990s, a tech investment included a significant technology risk, with the potential upside being groundbreaking innovation. Being an investor at this time meant taking a considerable technology risk and betting on actual tech, such as nanotech, semiconductors or biotech.

E-commerce, albeit hyped and interesting, was not considered tech. It was “Business 2.0”, plain and straightforward, hype included.

Oh man, I always feel that the independent is very shady news company, that I never trust them.

Care to elaborate about why you think so?

Hard pass for Dailymotion, with all respect to you if you are using it.

My reasoning here being that, Dailymotion had stopped accepting individual creators uploads(only companies can upload) and that it loads every tracker on the planet earth whenever you visit them and that they don't have comments.

Most probably it will die by itself in 3-5 years.
