Any good apps for sleeping, walking, running, etc? Maybe they'll have more in the future but was wondering for the time being.

My main goal was to test the first version (EVT1) of the circuit board of the new watch, and that went well!

I’m not ready yet to share any schedule/timelines or further details about the new watch we’re building. I want to get answers to a few more supply chain questions before sharing more.

Open source development of PebbleOS is going well! 92 new commits since Google released the OS.

Rebble is running a hackathon this week - learn more at rebble.io/hackathon-002

I do hope they update the mobile app soon, but still love the pebble interface and lack of fitness stuff

We’ve already got PebbleOS compiling and running on real hardware.

We’re targeting a new chipset - nRF52840.

I'm flying to Shenzhen next week to meet with factories and suppliers.

Repebble is starting up from the original creators and a small team. I think we can get some awesome watches coming with modern components and maybe a couple cool new features.

We are excited to announce that the source code that powered Pebble smartwatches is now available for download.

Google agreed to release Pebble OS to the public. As of Monday, all the Pebble firmware is available on GitHub, and Migicovsky is starting a company to pick up where he left off.

The company — which can’t be named Pebble because Google still owns that — doesn’t have a name yet. For now, Migicovsky is hosting a waitlist and news signup at a website called RePebble. Later this year, once the company has a name and access to all that Pebble software, the plan is to start shipping new wearables that look, feel, and work like the Pebbles of old.

I've been keeping my pebble 2 alive for a very long time. New battery a few months ago, rewiring the vibrator motor due to the wire breaking at the solder point, new 3d printed buttons.

It's been working great for a very long time. Today, the motor itself is dead, resoldering it yielded no joy.

I think I need to retire this watch. I've asked my brother if I could buy one of his (he backed all the kickstarters) that isn't working any more. I'll replace the battery in it, and get it working again.

It's so sad that these aren't made any more. No significant changes or updates in what, like 7 years, and it still functions nearly perfectly. I wish so badly that someone would pick up where they left off and manufacture some more.

If so, which plastic option did you pick? And how did you like it?

After installation of the latest beta of Android I started getting issues connecting to my pebble watches.

I made the mistake of trying to re-install the pebble app, but I'm getting an incompatible error message.

Best to keep clear of the Android OS Beta. Fingers crossed this gets resolved somehow. Hopefully this warning helps somebody.
