Seems newsworthy to me when powerful government officials say unhinged and deranged things.

I'm just a layperson, but my guess would be that they could start from the bottom and work their way up. They can't touch Trump, but they can start sending US Marshalls to round up the underlings that refuse to obey the orders or the court.

Now would the Marshalls do that? Who the hell knows. And maybe there's a problem with that plan I don't know. I like it better than just assuming the executive branch is defacto untouchable.

That's what we want, though. People and organizations with the most means to do so are the most morally obligated to resist.

I think he was just making a point about how outsized the price of the factory was. Like even if they had to pay the tariffs, it wouldn't be worth it to build a factory, so it's double stupid of Trump to do this.
