Yes, you will be welcomed by the people. Being welcomed by the job market is a whole another story, though one that you being American isn’t really getting in your way.

Transit has that sugary and modern UX tailored for transit riders, but yeah Organic Maps is awesome, thumbs up for every day map needs.

Just take Bluesky out of that thing. Unlike many things in this life, there's an easy and correct answer here: ActivityPub.

On another note, I didn't know Libby had profit sharing? I'm looking into double checking this one... AFAIK these ebook licensers are sapping the budget out of public libraries and Libby is in on it.

Also, I strongly recommend adding the Transit app as an alternative to Google Maps / Apple Maps for public transit users. They're based in Montreal iirc

There’s nothing gross about celebrating local artists

Seizing on how? This smells like alarmist bullshit to fuel defense arguments for the USA to make more demands like needing to take Greenland and more defense spending from Canada.

Russia is busy twisting the US’ arm on Ukraine negotiations and China is more interested in filling the gap left by the USA meltdown as a power broker in the global stage, their threat is more like election interference than military. Our biggest territorial threat right now is the fucking USA, the country that half the population might eat up this headline as just cause for threatening allies sovereignty.

The Russian leader has backed Mr Trump’s annexation of Greenland, implying the president’s dreams of Arctic expansion are a mirror of his own claims on Ukraine. Moscow could soon work with Washington on joint projects in the region, said his aides, raising the prospect of a great power carve-up.

This is the fucking threat, and it comes from the other border, not the Arctic. Canada might be the next Poland if that orange bastard continues this bizarre trend. Or maybe just like Ukraine…

OP already answered with the edit but the short answer is that most people are not paying that out of pocket

And I want to live in Vancouver because I love my lifestyle here :-)

I’m a productive SWE at a big tech firm and I’m looking pretty seriously at offices in Canada.

Come. We need more progressives in technology. You might feel the pay cut but it's so worth imo

security clearance would legally prevent him from sharing privileged information If he became privy to it. It’s not a good tactic of opposition to be silenced by the people you’re opposing.

So it’s better for him to not have the information, compared to having information but not being allowed to disclose it?

Or do you mean that he is having access to privileged information and he is disclosing it even though he doesn’t have permission to it?

If you’re studying fascism, wouldn’t you want to be where the fascism is?

He is. Fascism is growing on planet earth

If you too think we need to increase our transit efficiency, support this upcoming motion by Cllr Boyle before July 23rd!
