My only concern is, from my understanding, is Palestinians are classified under different rules because they are considered “stateless individuals” in many of these countries. If they recognize the state of Palestine what will happen to their status and protections, and their ability to claim asylum? Someone please guide my understanding for the immigration/visa implications?

Wow that is curious. The article itself changed. Don’t they usually include “update” or “changed to include” and a time stamp when that happens? Or am I just not seeing it? When I read it the first time it definitely didn’t talk about leaving port again. If memory serves it said they had to turn around due to weather and it was unclear if or when they’d leave again. Now it says,

“A flotilla of dozens of boats loaded with aid for Gaza departed Barcelona port on Monday evening after stormy weather forced them to return to port earlier, Reuters footage showed.”

Strange. But glad to know they’re underway.

Good on that lady for saying something, I can’t believe his response (paraphrasing) “if they’re good, well behaved little neo-Nazis they can stay and participate. This space is for them.”

Ah yes but what about the parenthesis inside of the parenthesis inside of the parenthesis?

Well, they’re going to have to legislate tying to the grid. And then they’re going to have to figure out how to manufacture an imbalance where the homeowner still owes them each month regardless of the reality. Once that’s sorted out I’m sure they’ll permit them. And let’s not forget a tax for not “spending as much on utilities” in there. Like, the astronomical extra money it was to register my hybrid because I wasn’t using the pump enough. So, once the fees, extortion tax, and manipulated imbalance protocols are worked out it will be smooth sailing right into “why even install these?”

I mean, that would be one way to grab the media spotlight! And draw attention to the issue.

I mean let’s not forget the World Central Kitchen Workers. They’ll use the same pattern they always do whether aid workers, hospitals, schools, medical staff or journalists:

  1. nuh-uh we didn’t do it
  2. ok, we did it but HaMaS
  3. ok, but they thought it was HaMaS
  4. fine we we did it but look at all these other crimes we’ve done since then! Old news!
  5. dead people don’t come back and justice is never served

I reread it and I think I was just triggered and my brain skipped the whole picture. That was my mistake. I’m used to navigating more hostile online environments.

Stop making fun of Big Foot like that. What did he ever do to you??

Ok. I hope that’s the case. I don’t mean to be defensive. It just seems that’s often the implication with these kind of remarks.

I was born a refugee, my grandmother’s family from Kfar Sabt, my grandfather’s family from the nearby village of Lubya. Today, from my home in Ramallah, I wake each morning to the sight of an Israeli flag in the nearby settlement Beit El, a clear reminder of the apartheid regime that dictates every aspect of my life.

The Jewish Israelis who live there cast their votes for a government that determines where I can live, work, and travel, how much water I receive, and which set of rules and laws apply to me, and which do not. Like millions of Palestinians, from the West Bank to Gaza, I’m ruled by a system that sees me only as an obstacle in the way of its expansionist ethnostate.
