They certainly have their phases.

  • After Voyager was Enterprise. The look for it was a continuation of the "Dick" Berman era sex appeal, but has plenty of worthwhile characters, episodes, and moments.
  • Lower Decks is great if you like the sillier episodes plus a shit ton of Trek trivia. The look is just a hair ahead of the golden age shows for the sake of its timetable.
  • Prodigy, while aimed at a younger audience, becomes recognizably "Trek" by the second half of season 1. There's some odd uniform choices, but nothing too crazy.
  • Strange New Worlds can be hit or miss for most. The restyled TOS era uniforms actually work well and the costume department for everything else is outstanding.
  • The Animated Series... it's weird in a good way. The look is any cheaply produced Hanna Barbara cartoon of the same era.

Just to the end of season 3 when this happens:

A solution I'd not, nor would ever have, considered.

Kahn makes it work. I couldn't pull that look effectively.

Just an excuse to post that gif is all.

Hmmm... 2 and 3 is basically "11001001." The trifecta could arguably be Janeway during the events of "Bride of Chaotica" with the photonic lifeforms, so long as you accept that she eventually becomes an admiral.

  1. Boars are basically wild pigs. Typically more hair, agressive/feral, have tusks, and a highly invasive species.
  2. Yup.
  3. Still pork, so no.

Love that commercial. Never played the game.

She's El-Aurian, a species that lives for several centuries with some mystical timey-whimey perception that's never really explained.

I suspect some of that characterization went into Mass Effect's favorite space racist Ashley Williams.

The episode "Harry Kim Gets Some"

Janeway puts the kibosh on that shit quick.
