I don't think it was there until I enabled firefox sync. I'd like to remove what is inside the red box. Does anyone know how to do that?

I'm moderately experienced with linux. Been using it as my daily driver since 2018. Mostly using Fedora but also have a Debian server. I'm pretty comfortable with systemd but don't love the bloat.

Anyway, I've decided that I'd like to try Arch. So I'm looking for tutorials to help me learn or get familiar with Arch instead of just diving in head first like a madlad.

So what Arch tutorials do you like and are there any that you'd recommend that I watch?

Edit: lmao you guys are brutal. yeah i know about the arch wiki, rtfm and all that. I know i'll be spending a lot of time with the wiki. I just wanted to get a rough intro first. Well, I guess I'm off to read the fkin wiki now.

Generally, I do not. But I’m sure there is a scenario where it is used as a rude way to terminate a conversation.

I’d start with proxmox.

Why even take the risk? Just talk about something else.

I don’t do it for privacy, although that is a benefit.

I use RSS for convenience (all sources like news, YT, link aggregators, etc. are in the same place) and also to escape “the algorithm“. With RSS, I am in more control over what I see rather than what the Apple/Google news algorithm wants me to see.

Also it helps to prevent doom scrolling. When you’re at the end of your feed, that’s it. There’s no more. You find something else to do.

Just generally, a more efficient use of my time.

Stranger - Korean police/legal drama. Fun show to watch.

Rewatched some of Sopranos S06

Started Orphan Black. Only watched the first episode but it’s just meh so far.

Don't forget to scrub and checksum your drive

What is the process for doing this?

Does anyone know about the team in this project? I’m concerned that development stalls after a little while when things get hard or they get tired of it.

For me, customizing a new browser is a heavy lift so I don’t usually jump headfirst into browsers without first knowing a little about the team’s background.

Honestly there are only so many clickbait headlines a guy can take in a day. I’ve reached my quota. Can some good person or bot tl;dr this please?

I believe the Germans call this feeling Schadenfreude

I see lots of talk on Lemmy about the AI bubble bursting. That AGI isn’t going to happen in the near-term, maybe it won’t ever happen. And so the the AI bubble will burst; ala the dot-com bubble.

But what exactly will burst? OpenAI and Claude? Those are private companies so maybe they will downsize or merge, but that’s not a bubble? NVIDIA & Microsoft? I don’t really see those companies imploding. They have a pretty large and diversified customer base. Besides, Apple and AWS are already moving away from NVIDIA by making their own hardware. I genuinely don’t understand where the big implosion is. Can someone help me understand this?

ETA: Is there an example analogous to pets.com for this AI bubble?

How can I do this. Happy to use their API if that is easier to gain access to the paywalled info. Any help would be appreciated.

This app has really made my life better so I thought I'd share it. It's a bookmark everything app like raindrop.io or Pocket; except it is self-hosted. It has Firefox & Chrome extensions as well as iOS and Android mobile apps (so it's available pretty much everywhere).

You have the option to use AI for auto-tagging or you can not use the feature if AI bothers you. AI can either be your locally hosted LLM or you can use the ChatGPT API. I use it with a locally hosted LLM.

I'm not the developer, just a happy user.
