My parents wouldn't even have the fucking space to let me stay.

And then we have people like musk, who grew up with a golden spoon and view those on social security as parasites.

You doubt that people put their kids on the street when they come out as gay? Lol.

Good tip, will have a look. Downloading a fair amount of songs like old times is useful too. And cheaper, regarding internet usage.

I use NewPipe on mobile. The app has issues from time to time, but I'll take those over YouTube pr*mium any day.

Edit: pros:

  1. it lets you download the songs/videos
  2. It doesn't stop playing music when you switch to other windows.
  3. No fucking ads. Anyone who reads this and doesn't have anything for mobile: try it.

Most people use YouTube without an addblocker. In which case, your content comes with about ten times the amount of advertisements than if you'd have used a TV back then.

While we're at it: I remember when opting into adds was a choice for creators on YouTube. Quite a few refused, even popular channels. Can't imagine growing up with this shit now and thinking it's normal.

10 years ago, a Black woman told me that, while it's perfectly valid to disagree with other people's opinions, I should rethink the level of confidence that I depict when discussing a topic that I don't know all that much about.

She probably saved quite a few others and myself from a fair bit of trouble.

Why would using one be an issue though? If the stencil is disposed afterwards, I don't see an issue.

This is a classic case of: I find this pretty funny, but some people will take it seriously if it gets upvoted enough.

Said it before but: The assholes in the world ruin it for the rest of us. Good on you for keeping an eye out. I do it too, it gets exhausting though.

Among the guys who answered with yes, more than one stated to be on the bigger/taller side, which makes sense. I also know some taller, sporty looking women who look out for people being afraid of them sometimes. Never happens to me, I'm the female goblin.

Oh, I know that game, very appreciated! When I get too excited, I might use pepper spray or a kick between the legs. It makes things fun!

You probably know that, but this is exactly the thing that a lot of women and girls do, just reversed. Calling a friend or pretending to be on the phone when in a dark alley. I think the first time I did that was at 14 or something.

Nice one!

Might sound silly, but every once in a while, random guys around me (pretty short, female) start humming/making random noises when they get near me, usually when I'm alone. Imagine me standing at a red traffic light at night or something. It's never women. Sometimes, it's some creep trying to get my attention, though that's usually kinda obvious.

But I also had it happen with guys who didn't seem like they wanted anything. I lowkey suspect that some might make noises so that I'm not caught off guard or something?

Any men on here who do this? Or am I just tripping?

Edit to summarize: So, a few guys apparently do it on purpose, while others think they might do it subconsciously. Some do it around women, others around whomever, since anyone can get scared. Super interesting.

Also, when I spoke of creeps, I meant actual assholes who did and said shitty stuff, not random socially awkward people. You know the drill.
