I appreciate the sentiment & I agree. while I'm not trans, but I don't want to be anywhere where I feel unsafe to be queer and feel unable to experiment with how I express myself. transphobia is obviously a slippery slope and will just further push us out
sorry that many users are such waste disposal units on lemmy ๐ I feel like I can't do much alone but I concur that our mods should be acting against harassing you for your identity. the unpredictable nature of getting weird bigoted replies to just regular nice people makes me anxious about posting much - like I never know what to expect. I'm hoping a better community can grow here.
the whole thing was bizarre and unnecessary! kind of casted a lot of doubt on the integrity mod team for me. the onehundredninetysix community has been pretty cool and I'll keep sending posts their way

hey cat community! I have some vocal-cat behavioural problems I was wondering if you all could crack.
my cat boy biggins has always been pretty vocal and chatty, but it's gotten pretty unbearable lately. I've started walking him on a harness at the local primary school (it's open to the public out of school hours). he's amazing to walk - super cooperative and sweet with the harness. but when we're home, he's been non-stop throwing howling tantrums when he can't go.
how do you handle this kind of behaviour? I'm ordering some earplugs and ignoring him in the meantime, but any advice would be great!
