I was gonna say something similar. The amount of “activists “ that have never set foot at a protest is astounding. Most of the recent protests have been full of geriatrics reliving the past glory of the 60’s. Then the young people that do show up are nobody to look up to or admire, they are usually uneducated about the subject and have a plethora of mental issues or only there because they have a huge unrelated chip on their shoulder.

Also, the protestors of the past in my city were always well dressed professional people with a clearly defined goal. Currently, it’s just trust fund babies mad at daddy pretending to be anarchistic in their $3800/month apartment burning down the poor part of the city they don’t live in because they are mad at Trump and ice.

SDE is software development engineer. CS is usually considered a field of mathematics that can take many routes. SDE as a learning path generally focuses on programming languages and frameworks to build useful applications, if CS is theory focused then SDE is the application focus. IT generally focuses on already built frameworks and tools for managing corporate networks and data security.

Also, it’s preventative, too. Why resort to a life of crime when you can do something that you are interested in and can get paid for it! I wish we ditched the “need to go to college” for expanded trade programs. I would have loved to go to a Junior College or CC or even a trade school if they offered CS courses. The problem with most local colleges is they think IT/SDE/ and CS are all the same, but they are getting better about distinguishing them

Finance departments been going full throttle since trump won trying to determine if virtue signaling the left or right will make more money.

Tariffs are not a new concept and have been used historically to build economies. Top China analysts in the Obama administration credited its economic rise to protective tariffs and high barriers to entry for any foreign companies to sell in country.

I’m probably a bit older than most lemmy users and remember when tariffs were a major talking point for democrats as a positive thing to protect American jobs. Hell, growing up in the Midwest, all my dad and his buddies that worked union jobs had to vote democrat because of their aggressive tariff policy to protect their jobs.

So what if trump is right about tariffs and it reinvigorates the American economy? Will people find another reason to credit the success to? Will it be the end of blue collar voting for the democrats?

Edit: Markets are rebounding hard, I bought low, glad Lemmy is full of pseudo intellectual economic morons. How is Lemmy going to cope now?

I have been on TRT roughly 2 years and do 140mg/week of test cyp. Overall it has been life changing. I originally suspected something was off about 4 years ago and fought with my primary care doctors about getting tested for low t. My results came back at 150ng/dl with the “normal range” being 240-750ng/dl. After the results my doctor tried to put me on anti depressants. I told them to screw off and called a clinic the next day.
