Never forget that they took away our moving progress bars w/ descriptions of the task being performed at each stage and gave us shitty spinning circles.

We used to progress, now we get fucked around.

I had to setup some shitty Roku tv for the break room at work and the P.O.S. wouldn't even display over the air channels until you signed in.

Are there not already laws about being reckless in public areas? Why are we not enforcing those? Why do we need new specific ones about bikes?

Worked in a hardware store.

The color is on the fucking lid, It's Rust-Oleum so you know it sprays like shit through a fan, and most of all it's not yours so leave it the fuck alone.

Guy, we could legalize child soldiers tomorrow and as long as they promised to keep the kids from home 8 hours a day people would throw their kids at them.

when I started paying for my own bills I found the opposite as well. It wasn't as big a deal as they made it out to be and it certainly wasn't worth screaming at a child about lamps being left on.

Or the penny wise dollar dumb way they lived.

Or their refusal to learn how to use a computer/Internet despite the obvious fact that this Internet thing was not just a fad after ~20 years of it existing and getting more and more ubquitous in everyday life.

Or the way they relied on their parents for assistance but when we needed help we were just lazy.

Not to mention their horrific life choices or personal beliefs.

But they were right about things like being on time. Or doing the hard things first. Or knowing when to walk away and come back later.

It sounds kind of like hubris or face-saving when you put it like that.

I suppose I can't fault them too much. I did have the benefit of learning from their mistakes (and being one of them.)

They told me i'd gain 10lbs a decade and they've been right so far but I'm not unhealthy or massively overweight so eh.

It feels like mine were right about a lot of the little things but missed the big picture.

Spain or Italy sound like tourist traps these days, I wouldn't mind Poland.
