I don't know why a e-reader would need location data in order to improve the app...

Paralino is based in Germany. It's an end-to-end encrypted geolocation sharing app that is quite new. They said they will open source their code further in their roadmap. It's available on both iOS and Android!
Yeah but the privacy policy isn't great IMO

Algorithmes aren't inherently bad. The fact that they are opaque blackbox imposed to you by the plateforms so you get addicted is why they are bad. The day we have the choice between multiple client-side transparent algos it will be better.
You simply don't get the usecase. I don't want Pinterest to show me stuff that I'm into. I want it to show me similar pictures to build coherant yet creative moodboards.
I'll go with Mafia II yes
It's quite new so maybe not as feature-packed but it might worth to bet on them cuz their app does looks great I agree!
