Even the big operations break in unexpected ways. Facebook accidentally broke the authentication for their door locks when they took the site down a few years back and had to fly people to a datacenter and break down a door to get to servers and restart things.

The sheriff is his own elected official, and you can't run for the position unless you're a cop.

Unfortunately local cops are in favor of killing citizens.

Most news coverage doesn't make the connection. I don't think people realize why that's happening, or even that their congressmembers have voted to kill jobs.
