I mean I get it and I see your point - if you're going to get arrested/shot/killed anyways might as well go down guns blazing and hopefully taking a nazi with you.

The reality is americans don't want to do that. none are actually willing to die for their country.

Republicans only care about something when they NEED it. When they don't need it then no one else is allowed to have it either.

Oh they CAN afford to feed their own people, they CAN afford to house the homeless, they just don't want to.

Imagine being such a massive piece of shit child rapist that you get gifted a free mansion on the dime of tax payers.

why? because it'd be cruel to strip him of EVERYTHING and leave him homeless on the streets of London? oh heaven forbid.

I honestly can't stand GNOME and I've given it several tries to try and either appreciate it or understand why others adore it. I don't get it. Like ok I want to open an application launcher or simply see my dock. default click on those odd looking buttons that represent your workspaces but also is your launcher/dock view? ok...I just want to open firefox why do I have to see an overview of my workspaces? I don't care about that I just want to open firefox. How come I can't customize it easily? why do I need to download extensions via my web browser to do so? ok time to upgrade GNOME...wait why are ALL my extensions now broken? Let me go to the GNOME forums or discord to get help...wait why am I getting chewed out by the devs for wanting to customize my GNOME experience? ok I'm going back to KDE.

KDE has also improved A LOT in the past year. it's a damn solid DE now. I primarily use Niri on my NixOS machine but I do have KDE installed also because every now and again I like going back to it to play around with and honestly...I'm starting to prefer Konsole over other terminals.

your last point is key. Bluesky has notoriously horrible moderation and a CEO that refuses to acknowledge it and mocks users that do.

This reeks of Bluesky letting "the babies have their bottles" so to speak but I feel it's a waste of time. Bluesky users already heavily depend on lists to build their own communities in a way. It's almost to the point on there where if something you dislike shows up in your feed well that's your fault and the communities as a whole for not almost shadow banning an account via the god knows how many block lists users have created. "disliking" a post isn't going to do anything. it's stupid.

Hell Bluesky users have been trying to get some transphobic journalist banned from the platform for well over a year now and the CEO of Bluesky has essentially said "lol, nope, you all suck. don't like it? stop posting in protest." When Bluesky users are offered an alternative with better moderation that THEY can control i.e. Mastodon they tut their tongues and roll their eyes saying "eww the linux of social media".

so again, let the babies have their bottles. it's not going to do anything because Bluesky has clearly said they don't want to do anything.

about 20+ years ago I decided to start collecting videogames. In hindsight it was a good time to start as the prices for the retro stuff was still dirt cheap. I had all the consoles. mastersystem, nes, snes, genesis, 3DO, NeoGeo, etc. A few japanese only stuff like the Wonderswan and what have you. Again via ebay and thriftstores it was all cheap.

The Jaguar for whatever reason took awhile to find at a decent price but I finally found one at a electronics thriftstore in the city. bought a few games for it also. some even still had the overlay for the controller.

all the games were bad. all of them. I bought like 10 games or so and they all sucked. My collection initially focused on collecting consoles and the "best" games for each which would progress to just trying to get as close to complete collections as possible. With the Jaguar I didn't even bother after those 10 games. I had more games for the 3DO and PC-i compared to the Jaguar. Plus Jaguar stuff was just hard to find and I kinda figured that people didn't bother trading them in or trying to resell them but because they sucked so much I bet you most people just tossed them.

his current wife is going along for the ride on this one because I imagine she's already been promised a sort of "golden parachute" so to speak. She knows shes done for thus the reason she's been looking more "rough" lately.

He's probably already slept with Kirks widow, current wife already knows he has also.

can't speak for other countries but I can tell you first hand that Canada has REALLY soured on India and Indians. Many view Indians as exploiting student visas in order to gain PR status, an unwillingness to acclimatize to Canada, taking jobs and housing, etc. Also doesn't help that a year or two ago a couple people working for the Indian government murdered a Sikh Canadian in BC thus many Canadians want nothing to do with India and were angry with Prime Minister Carney this past week after he tried to fix relations with India.
