Yep I think there is too much content to realistically keep around in a true decentralized fashion when you're limiting the storage to only the ones who consume your content in the first place.

I think all those buttons immediately visible would scare a lot of non-technical people.
.NET works on non-Windows OSes too, at least enough to have a GUI. Avalonia is cross-platform for example. Not only across desktop but also mobile and web.

I think there is an alarmingly high number of users with a very large amount of heavily downvoted bad takes... usually from specific homeservers but not always. I've seen a whole lot more blatantly terrible attitudes compared to reddit.
The API documentation is extremely bad, especially for non-JS devs, and the developers defend it saying there's nothing wrong and no plans to change it. People are always getting confused about how to use it to get the information they want and often never find any good help.
I am not hopeful that it will grow positively.

Especially most libera mods. Their god complexes can be seen from space, they're often highly unreasonable, hold decades long grudges and have a hair trigger for anyone even remotely trying to be funny.
while I generally agree with you, lots of things that are legal could be called predatory and people don't seem to have a problem with them, but somehow MLM crosses the line.
Everyone has a different definition of what is acceptable and I don't think there is enough of a majority consensus one way or the other to do something about it.
