Why doesn't the US government just tax illegal immigrants a little bit more than the Average american? Then use those funds to fix infastructure or a new WPA of the 21st century? in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

Why do that when they can just enslave them? They are turning them into forced prison labor with life sentences. They “pay” them $1/day, then charge them $90/day for the costs of imprisonment, ensuring they are trapped in the system forever.

I tried their self driving during their last free trial (6 months ago?), and it felt like the first time I took my kids driving when they had taken a few driving lessons but had very limited experience. I wouldn’t want to be near one of these cars.

My Dreamcast… I had almost every game downloaded and there was so much choice I never committed to anything and got bored. It taught me a lesson about piracy and the value of attention.
