Oh right. This was the one where Scotty tries talking into a Mac mouse. And then after opening and closing a lot of windows, transparent aluminium! *Edit : spelling

They were pretty big on saying you'd never have to vote again.

It was one of the Voyager probes, upgraded by aliens to continue its journey of discovery, returned to earth wasn't it?

Not content with being a Russian asset and Convicted Felon, Donald is apparently straight shooting for War Crimes now.

Oh absolutely it would cause problems. And no the answer isn't that simple. It rarely is.

I'm not American.

A ban would fix a lot of problems. But only because the platforms moderate things to match the platform owners opinions.

Platforms enabling free speech are beneficial.

I didn't need a ban. They enshitified and I moved on. All Meta apps (including WhatsApp) gone. X/Twitter gone. LinkedIn gone. Reddit gone.

Now I use Lemmy, Mastodon/BlueSky, and Signal.

I need a documenter!

I have a head full of stuff that hasn't had time to be documented, and being a single point of knowledge isn't job security, it's a major risk.

My code gets documented. But so much infrastructure is just held in my head as senior SysAdmin. Wherever possible I just have a ride-along "up-skilling" (works like a RAID mirror for my brain).

Maybe they filtered those strings to be safe, and put the notice there to answer the invertible "why won't it accept my password" queries.

It's a shitty password engine. But not necessarily uncleansed

As the owner of a .info domain, I know this pain all too well.
