I had the same thing. I think I solved it by installing xclip.

I think what you're having is when the 'pastee' application is expecting shift-ctrl-v but you've used ctrl-v or vice versa.

Yes, I will make a post :)

Another +1 for YUNOhost. I went from zero experience self-hosting to having my own email, fediverse instance, file server and several websites on a VPS. I would never have had the patience to figure this out without it.

It could be anything. Scandals and treachery are as old as politics itself and no party is immune to it.

I disagree: I think that having two dedicated democratic socialist parties brings more attention to the movement as a whole and increases its gravity. It also means that if one of the two parties gets clobbered for whatever reason then we are not instantly made politically homeless, like when Corbyn got taken down as Labour leader. When the Your Party launch was fudged we could join the Greens because by then they had emerged as a credible and legitimate leftwing party. The more success we have on the left as a whole the better at this stage IMO.

Yes, I think mocap suits or modular versions thereof seems the most plausible and sustainable right now.

I'm not an engineer but I think defining ranges of three dimensional coordinates in this way and mapping them to other data like keystrokes and mouse position shouldn't be much harder than many other things have which already been accomplished in things like manufacturing, games and aerospace.

The will to do it is probably a bit lacking under our current system though. Most technology seems to be going in a direction of minimising creative participation, especially physically, and instead prioritising passive consumption. I think redefining the purpose of technology is as much a part of Solarpunk as what form that technology takes.

Don't let the cynicism get the better of you comrade.

This is the most wise and valuable comment I can remember seeing on the internet 👍

I want to go over it again when I'm less tired and perhaps even write a version of it for my blog. Let me know how best I can credit you if I do.

The online 'space' seriously needs more of this.

It won't be up to him. It's not even a given that he will be selected for a leadership role (although he probably will be). Do bear in mind that he compromised on some of his own positions as Labour leader to reflect the membership too.

Linda McCartney vegetarian sausages, pies etc remain some of the tastiest alternatives available in the supermarket.

Astonishingly, the Tufton Street junktanks that shaped Liz Truss’s agenda are still operating at the heart of government.
