A while back I listened to an interview with Pentagon Jr. (now Penta in WWE) saying that hiding your identy isn't quite what it used to be as now fans are so in on it that the recognize you by your tatoos and your moves.

I've thought about that an unhealthy amount since then. There is a bunch of good reasons to be a masked luchador, not the least of which is fans not recognizing you at your real job as a bag boy at the grocery store. None of those reasons, however, seem to make sense to get tatoos. I know the younger kids these days see tatoos as a right of passage or something, but I would think you'd want to avoid them if you are going to be a real life super hero.

I'm not sure who is pushing #GlobalSwitchDay probably won't amount to anything, some of these platforms are certainly not ready a massive migration. The #RedditMigration was rough enough on Lemmy, it actually murdered #Kbin; #loops #PeerTube and #Friendica don't have nearly enough well-maintained instances to support any sort of massive migration. And Signal, well its better than WhatsApp, and its mostly Free Software, but it doesn't really align with all of the others that are, or at least intend to be in the case of Loops, federated services based on ActivityPub.
