They can. Though their workaround won't take long to come with a Proton update. At least Paradox isn't known with that kind of anti-cheat.
Proton doesn't need to be allowed. It will be fine, unless they decide to put some terrible anti-cheat.
For me, it's Starcraft 2.
Anilist has an import option. Kitsu has an import option. AniDB might not have. My favourite is Kitsu though.
LFS is not a distro and I highly doubt it's popular as well.

Apparently that happened in Strive. I haven't played it yet. With that, this is acceptable as yuri.
