Well, I'll post as a new user. I've been around for almost a couple weeks and loving it. I still lurk in all every now and again, but I'm so appreciative to have an instance of my interests that keeps me isolated from all the blech of the other instances. And I really appreciate Lemmy for that opportunity.

The issue with copper clad when it comes to DC is voltage drop issues. But that's just DC in a nutshell lol.
Okay, I'm tagging you. So, let me know when you're in town and DM me! I'd love to meet for a ride! I just got a secondhand motobocane that's pretty nice for my all round utility bike.
Heyyyyy! Love seeing natives out and about
Side note, promise it's the last thing; southern goodbyes am I right? If you leave CTBC and go underneath the bridge, you'll be on a greenway straight to new Finlay Park paths to the Vista
Make sure to come on a Tuesday. Tuesday night rides are sick downtown. We go by the river a lot. The bike collective is very dear to my heart. They got broken into a few months ago. People suck. But, as always, not a single one of those dudes is letting it show. Always smiling and helping the community.
Ah! Friend! I think I know where this is! No worries, I live in Cola Town. Not trying to be weird. I love venomous plants and was so delighted to learn SC had native ones!
Plastic pollution is signicantly worse than aluminium. Especially, considering how aluminium is infinitely recyclable. PET plastics can only be recycled a few times. In addition, the shredding of plastics is a huge contributor to microplastics. Not only that, but a large portion of plastic for recycling gets shipped across the world to practically sit in a landfill. I will never, ever be on board with plastics.
Even with aluminium, it's Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Recycling is the last step. Plastics are our biggest offender and we need to reduce it to zero for single use plastics.
I wish the US would get off it's ass and ban plastic bottles and only have cans.
30° sounds nice, it's gonna be 42° next week where I am.
Same! When I looked up the salary of farmers in Denmark, I was astonished. Such a glaring difference. I hope all of our situations get better in their respective regards. I hope you have a fantastic...evening? I think midnight, maybe?
ugh, if only
