Google has gotten its first taste of remedies that Donald Trump’s Department of Justice plans to pursue to break up the tech giant’s monopoly in search.

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if the Trump administration gave Google a break here after some poorly disguised bribes. It's too soon to be claiming they'll do anything. Weird phrasing, considering what's happening.
Paying someone to do that kind of work is the opposite of Valve's ideal, if I understand them correctly.
They prefer systems working well enough with as little human assistance as possible—see: review system with reactions and surge detection; user-defined game tags; front page recommendations completely based on trends; the market; and so on.
That's not to say these are bad, but they could often be improved, if only Valve was willing to pay the human cost. But part of the reason Valve remains small is they try to automate as much as they can (and if it can't be automated, it might never get done, specially considering their corporate structure).
N.B. I still prefer them over majority of companies in this space, but let's not ignore their issues, e.g. gambling. As an aside, I also appreciate GOG's "no DRM" stance, but I use Linux and sadly native support isn't there. Kudos also to Itch.io.

I'm not "separating the art from the artist" when the artist is alive and frolicking with a homophobe. That's very much relevant to me, I see LGBT folks being harmed every day due to such indifference.
Maybe I'm the odd one out, and do tell me if you think that's the case, but when I can, I don't support homophobes with my wallet nor my words.
It's like voting with your wallet, but for free. Image is a tool, just like capital, and I feel that contributing to theirs is a form of (albeit minor) support. Maybe I should've used supporting, or another word. Point is, Andreas does that, and I think it's because he likes Brendan. Thinks he's great, shouldn't have joined the people decrying him for being a homophobe.
People who care about LGBT folks don't usually like homophobes, and aren't usually against decrying them. I don't think this is a good sign for Andreas. That's the kind of thing that you need to keep in mind when you see that first PR.

He seems to genuinely and stubbornly believe in the apolitical-centrist stuff, which you wouldn't think him capable of since he's so intelligent when it comes to programming... but programming intelligence is not necessarily applicable anywhere else.
Sadly, Servo more or less halted when Mozilla laid off people in 2020. It only really started back up in 2023 when they secured new external funding. That said, I don't think Servo intends to be a fully-fledged Browser like Ladybird. While LB intends to be a car, Servo plans to be a great engine, but only that.
...on the other hand, Ladybird's lead dev seems like trouble. So maybe I'd rather wait for a Servo-based browser instead.
