I have a cutting of lavender in a glass of water and it isn’t dying or sprouting roots.

When I have energy I’d like to move the rosemary to the big pot.

I think I remember Xmas themed Chapsticks like Candy Cane/peppermint and Gingerbread if you’re after stocking stuffers

Mine is 18 but maybe they’ve seen her jump up against the door and are scared to test her.

I planted absolutely heaps of it, and most of the pots were close to the door where the cat sits. Maybe possums and mice can smell her.

The first ones in a different area did get completely eaten and so did the one furthest away from the door.

Err… fill it with Hershey’s Kisses and give it to someone special?

Gift mugs are a good cheap standby in case someone you don’t know well is unexpectedly coming and you didn’t have anything for them.

Buy a large mug, fill it with small food or cosmetic items that look nice together half sticking out and wrap it in cellophane.

Brown sugar vs white does seem to make a difference in some stuff. (Haven’t made this yet.) I have no idea what coconut sugar and oil would result in.

Indulge in neither… I wish it would advertise things I actually want and am looking for /hj

Pretty sure you still see ads on YouTube when logged out. And maybe even less personalisation makes it default more to alcohol and gambling ads

That’s a bit backwards. By that logic U16s could then just access whatever unrestricted if they don’t sign in?

Also can you still access the connected email or need to get a new one if you don’t verify? Dumb question but I’m not certain of how it all works

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago

I think it’s to sign in to google. But still that’s going to restrict access to information if you don’t verify.

Not reasonable :/

I’ve got no idea. Maybe someone with filters on can perform the movements that get asked for.

I’m not going to use a real name one though which is the only one old enough. Facebook is also really kind of crap, I haven’t gone on it in ages.

Also years ago I got my data out of curiousity and Google thought I was an 18 year old male gamer.

I find myself in an awkward spot where I’m not up to high maintenance pest prone things like potted heirloom vegetables anymore but also the annual flowers I planted are doing their own thing with no input needed. I’m also trying to conserve room.

I could search up the basics but could be wading through a lot of poor quality information and wanted to ask anyone more experienced.

Basically curious about how high/low the costs can be, whether it needs a lot of specialist stuff, and how beginner friendly it is. ie. How easy is it to stuff up or get into an overly complicated project.

My fears are accidentally killing it or snapping it while trying to gently bend a wire wrapped branch into shape.

Some nice sun and rain. Is there much happening in your garden?

Time has got away from me. You know the deal. Have you had any wins lately? How are you managing to stretch a dollar?

Edit: If you suspect a bird is sick or there are unusual deaths avoid touching it, take photos or videos and record the location if possible. Report it all to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline 1800 675 888 https://birdlife.org.au/h5-bird-flu-avoid-record-report/

Mango chicken curry (www.ausport.gov.au)

I used to love this one, a very mild fruity curry. Fine for kids.

Don’t worry about getting hold of apricot nectar or couscous as substitutions are very easily made. I used to use orange juice instead and serve it over rice. I think I’ve seen generic brand tinned mango.

Chicken thighs could also be used instead of breast (if you’re willing to skin and cut them into strips or pieces) to make this dish cheaper.

Edit: If meat is still too expensive you could also just add browned cubes of pressed tofu or a handful of cashew or peanuts, or pad it out with broccoli

It’s soup weather. I can’t have tomato or cheese anymore but am randomly craving minestrone.

This is a really good time for planting in Melbourne, lots of rain. And even house plants are probably enjoying the sun at the windows.

What’s going on in your garden?

Any repairs, hacks, way to save some money? You know we’re interested

The weather is definitely getting nicer and there’s been some rains. A good time to plant or sow, or even just let your cactus on the windowsill soak it up. What do you have in mind?

You know what to do.
