I don't mean to darken the mood, but I've found that transitioning only helps queer guys' perceptions of me a tiny bit, and it's a very slow process, and the spironolactone makes it impossible for me to top unless my partner is down for less conventional activities. It reduces masculinity if that's something that bothers you, but I'm not sure how much it does for overall sex appeal. (You could try monotherapy or estradiol/finasteride if you like your boy parts.)
