I love these animations.

Don't know about old but definitely not slow. My PC has a ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 3060. All terminals have a fast startup time except for Ghostty.

How am I supposed to get previews working in Yazi then? It's not 1969 anymore. If you don't like it stay on tty.

Ghostty is fast? It takes like 2 full seconds to open and I'm not even exaggerating. Kitty, Alacritty and foot take only a few microseconds to launch. I feel the same in regards to Alacritty, I'd use it as default if it had image support. For now I'm using foot.

I hate the whole "privacy as a service" concept. So I avoid them.

This was peak comedy.

Rendering images. I want to use Alacritty as default terminal, but it does not support any image protocol. So previews look pixelated on Yazi because it falls back to some method that's probably not meant for images. For now, I use foot as default.

Crazy how a very light and minimalistic terminal can show an image but not a gpu-accelerated one.

Sorry for the late response, I meant gamescope. I looked into it, it seems like umu-run has a bug where it expects DISPLAY=:0 but gamescope sets DISPLAY=:1. At least that's my understanding. It has been patched in the repo but there's no release with the patch yet.

Gamescope works fine if umu-run is not used to run the program.

I'm surprised to game can launch at all. For me it crashes instantly.

That text is included in every site that was shut down. All I can do is speculate, but I think the site owners were forced to write that. It's unlikely that every pirate site owner suddenly had a change of heart in regards to piracy.

I was daily driving it but started crashing after an update. I'll be getting back to it tho, I'm sure there has been like 4 updates in the last 24 hours...
