No need for a short cut. Just make a file on desktop with #!/usr/bin/env sh as the first line and whatever command you use in the 2nd line. Name it whatever you want.
Make the file executable (chmod +x <filename>) and you have a full-cut

Not that long ago, the commoners didn't have many rights all over the world. A party asking for checks to the power of the emperor seems downright liberal in that world. LDP stayed mostly the same (maybe moving a bit to the right), but the world kept moving to the left and now they are a right wing party.
For some people, using windows in a VM might also be a good fallback, specially for older and/or lightweight software.
Anything to do with hw, non-steam gaming or heavy applications might be a hit or miss

Democracy isn't something one person on their own can influence.
But it is something that one can influence by reaching out to others and making sure others vote
If you care about something, least you can do is convince your friends and family on what's the right side to vote for, and then making sure they actually vote as well.

Well reasoned. Reading to get an overview and summarise is already a skill going away in the new breed of researchers.
Side note: people don't talk like they used to. It's not writing that did this, it's the online forums. As people immersed more and more in online only communications, I've seen their morals and self regulation fail. People talk similar to how they comment online: trash without a filter
