Well, I and my 159 tabs are feeling entitled.

The Second Lady had planned to visit the Danish territory this week alongside other senior US government figures in a visit that had been described as a “provocation” by Greenland’s acting head of government Mute Egede.
It was later announced that JD Vance would be joining his wife on the visit, which was set to come after months of the Trump administration voicing their desire to take over the territory.
Usha Vance had been set to spend several days in Greenland on a “cultural visit.”
However, changes were subsequently made to the trip, which the White House confirmed on Tuesday would only involve the Vances visiting the US Pituffik Space Base, on the north-western coast.
Now, Danish broadcaster TV2 has reported that part of Mrs Vance’s visit to the capital of Nuuk was cancelled after US representatives failed to find any locals who wanted to greet the Second Lady.
Seriously though, why would anyone think this was a good idea in the first place? First off, I didn’t even know the “Second Lady” really did anything like this kind of stuff at all, and secondly, why would locals care about someone who is essential a random foreigner coming to pave the way for chaos?
She’s not Princess Diana. Five years ago, her husband was a certified nobody and now they want to drum up flowers and cheers from locals in another country for the wife of someone who is a half-step from being just some random NPC?
For Voyager, where is Year of Hell??
I’m with you on all the others, but Year of Hell is probably my favorite episode of all the Treks.
Even though this is an annoying DRM layer, I do like the innovation attempted here.
Back in the day, you’d hand your disc to your friend and then they’d hand it back to you some time later. Digital has given us a lot more freedom in how we game, but the ability to share had been removed. This at least seems to be offering a solution, at least for those who either don’t want to or are unable to just Arr! the games.
All they need is to remove the asinine local connection piece, and make the timeframe longer.
I’m saving this reaction bc Kathryn is all of us these days.
The Shuttle by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
Most people are aware of her children’s books like A Little Princess and The Secret Garden, but she wrote dozens of other books and short stories for adults. The Shuttle is probably one of my absolute favorite books, and I re-read at least once a year.
Is there a reason that the libraries from both servers cannot be included together under a single server?
As someone who loved Voyager and absolutely loves all of Mulgrew’s portfolio, I’ll be very honest and say that I think Trek needs to move forward from its 90s era.
What would bring a breath of fresh air to Trek is to do another Next Generation push and start a new series set some 100+ years after Voyager or Prodigy or even Picard. We are so wrapped up in nostalgia that we’re trapped in “some kind of” time warp where we almost refuse to go forward and escape the loop. There’s more exploring to do, and better tech to invent.
At some point, technology marches forward that the temporal prime directive becomes important. I’d love for Trek to explore that. There’s other quadrants across our galaxy; let’s see what happens when the Federation gets there. Trek stories should be as infinite as the imagination, yet we insist on sequestering ourselves within what we already know.
Prodigy should be continued, another Lower Decks type show should be optioned, and I’m not against Mulgrew returning in some Picardesque fashion, but Trek honestly needs to break free from the 90s heyday and continue boldly going.
Like any Trek, it takes about 2-2.5 seasons for the show to find itself and reach excellence.
Take the good with the bad, and you’ll get to the amazing parts in short time.
I love that this is her actual legacy! 😂
Digg? Is that you…?
