Various messages in the ongoing “Canada Invasion” Signal thread include: • plans to invade Vancouver and Toronto simultaneously, “because they’re right next to each other” • a refusal to include Danielle Smith in the text chain due to the Alberta Premier “being too pick-me”

I’m howling 🤣🤣🤣

I'd be interested to see the performance jump on a Zen 5 (or Xeon) CPU given that Zen 4 does that "double pump" approach to AVX512.

I laughed way too hard at this. God damn the Beaverton is just on fire these days...

Honestly the Boycott had me going to my local bakery, butcher and farmers market. In some ways it’s surprisingly cheaper and in some ways it’s a little (and I mean little) bit more expensive but knowing that my money is going to my local community / farmers is 100,000% worth it. Haven’t had to go back since.

So I really feel you on that; nok er nok

Hell no - I stopped shopping at Loblaws since the boycott and I haven’t missed Shoppers Drug Mart one bit. I know that Shoppers is only one component of this health care empire but if it’s any indication, I won’t be needing anything else from Per Bank either. 🫡🫡🫡

Consider it a rumour no more, according to some documents from the City of Surrey and the Site Context & Background on Page 3 of Application No. 7921-0328-00, the location is now scheduled to be converted into the Georgetown by Anthem project:

Generalized site DP for a 4 phased proposal to allow for a total of Five (5) mixed use high rises totalling 2208 residential units and 8658 sq. M of commercial space. See 7922-0103-01 for Detailed Development for Phase one which includes one 31 storey residential tower and one 32 storey residential tower and a detached amenity building with some commercial. Total of 720

At the time of writing this, I could not locate Application No. 7922-0103-01. RIP Whalley Canadian Tire.

A “motor vehicle incident” that occurred in Surrey Sunday morning is being investigated by the Independent Investigations Office of B.C., the police oversight agency confirmed. [Looks like an RCMP vehicle was involved in a crash, as were two sedans and a minivan.)

I took these photos the other day at Green Timbers Urban Forest in Surrey and felt like sharing them here:

A picture of the field between the Willow Trail and Skyline Trail in the Green Timbers Urban Forrest in Surrey.

A picture of a fallen tree with moss growing on it and the sunlight beaming in from above, located along the Quibble Creek Trail in Green Timbers Urban Forrest in Surrey.

A close up picture of a Tree stump with moss growing on it. In the tree stump, there is an opening with a rock placed inside. The rock is painted green with blue dots. The word "FAiTH" is painted in the centre of the rock in the same blue colour. The picture was taken somewhere along the Quibble Creek Trail in the Green Timbers Urban Forrest in Surrey

If anyone else has some amazing Urban Nature shots like this, please feel free to share below!
