I dont know. Maybe its not fixable. Maybe democracy as we know it cant withstand contact with social media and AI any more than absolute monarchy could survive the printing press. Maybe it will get better on its own, as kids growing up with AI start to spot it the way people today spot CGI.

Its sabotage. The leadership is incompetent, but they only make the rules. The people below them are the ones actually doing things.

They definitely saw Terminator, then started a letter writing campaign to DARPA to please build them an army of terminators.

Its not a guarantee of flawless operation thats required, its a source of liability if something goes wrong. Someone has to be responsible if the latest update blows everything up.

And the point of the vote isnt that they think it will cause the files to be released, its to force Republicans to either vote against Trump or go on record with an officially recorded vote that can be hammered in future elections.

He hasnt been CEO for decades, but he was on the board up until 2020 when MS's current AI strategy was being developed and executed. His current big push is energy projects, all intended as AI power sources, along with actual AI companies.

Its been pretty obvious for a long time that peaceful reunification is unlikely under current conditions and public desire for it is just being used as leverage. Every decade that rolls by the two nations move further apart culturally and economically, and the number of people who remember a unified Korea shrink.
