Yeah, very similar here. It used to frustrate me to not be able to stick with a hobby or project or whatever for the long term.

Now I think of it more like dipping into hobby A for a while, doing something, then when the urge hits moving on to hobby B. But I know I'll come back to hobby A at some point so it's not as much of an ego blow if I remember to just accept that the focus has moved on for now, but will come back later.

This https://inara.cz/elite/logbook/84502/ says: "Pranav Antal: +30% exobiology payouts, +50% trade profits for technology commodities and +150% minor faction reputation gain in Antal-controlled systems"

30 rather than 100% but thats not bad.

I just came across this site. Lots of good lists of cool tech out on the net. Similar to the awesome lists, but ... delightful I guess.

For the federating its a new kind of AP actor. I'll be putting in a FEP for it in the near future, but its basically a "Group" that only cares about the "Following" collection.

You can see example json for the AP interactions here: https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/src/branch/main/docs/activitypub_examples/feeds

The AP interactions for a Feed are:

  • Send a Follow request for a Feed
  • Accept a Follow request (this is automatic for public feeds)
  • Reject a Follow request (this is automatic for private feeds)
  • Announce an Add of a Community to a Feed
  • Announce a Remove of a Community from a Feed
  • Send a Delete of a Feed to subscribers

I have done this exact thing. Its what multiple career coaches have said to do. In my experience the networking aspect of job hunting is the part that actually gets jobs these days.

So, imo, this is not wrong. Bob agreed so it was fine. It does sound like maybe buying Bob a beer and not asking that particular Bob to do it again is reasonable. But the process in general is sound!

'To put on one of his plays, you don't pay his estate, you give a donation to a urangutan preservation society. '

I didn't know that, and now I love the man even more.

Yeah, you have to be perfect and not get knocked off, otherwise its back to square one. Super annoying. But it does feel like a real accomplishment when you finally beat him!

Moldorm - The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past (https://www.zeldadungeon.net/wiki/Moldorm_(A_Link_to_the_Past) )

This f'ing guy was hours of work to beat. Still the most annoying game boss ive ever encountered!

Mythos by Stephen Fry might be good. It's not strictly Medusa, but she is in it.

The audio book is amazing as well, cause you get to hear how those old Greek names should be pronounced, lol

I got funds out of the blue like this once. Legit.

Robotics companies have found a new and creative way to get consumers to shell out for a new robot vacuum: equipping them with a robotic arm that can pick up after your lazy ass.

It's raining gaming handhelds lately. Acer have now announced the New Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11. Don't expect SteamOS / Linux on them though, sadly they're shipping with Windows 11. Never say never though, with Valve expanding SteamOS perhaps we may see Acer jump on board in future too.

YouTube vid that breaks it down.... Most likely it's nothing to worry about.
