I'm testing 14B Qwen DeepSeek R1 through ollama and it's impressive. I would think I could switch most of my current usage of chatgpt to this one (not alot I should admit though). Hardware is amd 7950x3d with nvidia 3070 ti. Not the cheapest hardware but not the most expensive either. It's of course not as good as the full model on deepseek.com but I can run it truly locally, right now.

The EDITOR or VISUAL environment variables are usually read by command line tools to launch your preferred editor. You could set VISUAL to nano before launching visudo and you would be editing the sudoers file in nano.

Should be fine. Will just charge slowly as it won't get more than 5V from the charger as far as I understand.

I'm not sure it's that much faster but we recently switched to a stove top kettle for our induction stove. It's one less thing that needs to be plugged in somewhere. Also, the kettle makes a very cool sound! :)

I'd say customizability. Haven't used k-9 since I found FairEmail so can't really say anything about how it is now but it used to be pretty bare bones. At least compared to FairEmail.

I use OsmAnd+ and you can configure it to save a track every time you use navigation. It can also send that track live to self hosted tracking servers. You need to enable the trip recording plugin.

I always preferred deepl for translations. That is until I started using chatgpt which seem to usually do a much better job than either google or deepl (for the languages I have tried).
