So tracking someone's location automatically means the person is forbidden to enjoy life? How much cars did you meet in the 80s? Are really an 80s methods and safety standards good enough for todays world?

Why is it automatically gross? What method of locating lost child should parents use instead?

I generally agree with lots of topics regarding privacy but tracking your own children is just one part of being responsible for them. What is suggested way of making sure they are safe other than technology?

Is it flatpak? If yes (I would say it is given it is asking for permissions), then you can install Flatseal which manages permissions for every app separately 🙂

Sovol is building on top of open source but their software sharing is questionable. I do own their SV07 and if I wanted to reflash klipper, I would have to reverse engineer the printer as they ship only binaries for firmware...

You're pretty brave to call us "circlejerk" and then agree that there are flaws in drivers.

For you this can work. For my wife the nvidia works also. I mean, almost. Wayland buggy, poor VRAM management, from time to time fights with drivers. Compared to that my AMD journey is "set and forget".

I mean, yes, make a switch and test things out. But once you settle down on Linux OS, Nvidia is the worst choice you can make for purchase. World's shifting towards Wayland and it's not even worth your time to go and run Steam in Gamescope on Nvidia. And did you notice the push from distros to switch to wayland? Right now NV is same experience as was anything 10 years ago - hit or miss.

Just don't call anybody jerk when you don't share their experience. You are very low statistical sample and there are lots of us in the wild having real troubles with green team

Why not go even further? Pedestrians should also register and pay for option of walking around. Also registration numbers on clothing would be appropriate because they do dumb things, like running, jumping or dancing, all in traffic 🤣

In my country every child (~12yrs) learns basics of road safety and navigation through traffic including recognizing traffic signs. Why don't you push for change of school system and want to throw bureaucracy around like crazy instead?

Imagine feeling so confident to indirectly call Voron a bad printer and tell people how to spend money.

Go get yoursel something to work on instead of mocking other for their temporary solutions.

I generally don't use VLC since it caused interpolation on videos where it should not. I think I use mpv with some front end when needed. But for a while it is "set and forget" for me 😅

I was unable to find Gruvbox light theme, so I decided to create one myself. The thing is still WIP and will be for a while but works for me atm. Key components are color scheme and desktoptheme. Over that I use simp1e gruvbox dark cursor, Tela light icons and Sonokai espresso Konsole theme (but I'm considering switch to gruvbox as well). You can explore it on my GitLab
