The rest is nerd shit for political theory. It can be nice to know but will get quite boring pretty fast. But Chapter 7 will have you jump of your chair and start rebuilding your local community.

Science and Religion are not opposing forces:

You can study religion at the university using the scientific method. That is comparing different religious texts, analysing the historical context of the religious texts, explore how religious tradition evolved over time.

Also I have a hard time imaging a society without religion. People will always believe in something, be it fate, astrology, crystals. And people always have. Religion is a big part of our culture. Not talking about it will not undo it. We have to talk about it and and we have to teach about it. Teach about the atrocities commited in the name of religion but also the fascinating ideas religion has left in our culture. Such as the idea that you have a moral obligation to help the vulnerable, beyond your personal interest.

And teaching should not be left to your weird aunt or some strange people on the Internet. Teaching needs expertise and should be done in the best interest of the child.

A society founded on laicism gives no democratic voice to the issues of religion. Religion becomes a private matter and will only be taught by false prophets with a private interest such as making money from scamming people or gaining political influence.

The public must fund religion for it to be free and it must also make sure that there is no religion who actively undermines the constitution. Tolerance only works if there's a minimal consensus on the fact that we have to be tolerant and how we resolve conflicts in a peaceful way and this minimal consensus should be the constitution.

So it always depends on your current point of view:

Are schools filled with proletyzing fundamentalist ?then yes you might need less religion and more science in school or more scientific method in your religious teaching

But are your kids so uneducated about religion that they blindly believe everything they are being told about "gods will" ? Then please reintroduce some religious teaching in your education system. Let them work on the sources.

They look very cool indeed. Tailoring the design to harnes naturally available energy sources instead of relying on the grid is great. Also increasing sustainability by making it easy to service makes sense. The only thing I fear is that if everybody wants to live in a single story home, the world will be plastered with housing and there will be no more agricultural land left to produce food.

Nur zeitgenössische Schriftlich festgehaltene Quellen sind wirklich vertrauenswert (im Rahmen der üblichen Quellenkritik)Nicht irgendwelche Narrative, die sich die Menschen über die Jahre immer und immer wieder erzählen und die sich dadurch langsam aber doch erheblich verschieben können

Das Ding ist halt: Ich persönlich finde Paywalls auch doof. Sachen gratis zu bekommen ist einfach schöner.

Gesellschaftlich sind Paywalls aber wichtig, denn sie ermöglichen uns eine unabhängige und vielfältige Berichterstattung.

Ich würde also schon sagen, dass Paywalls in eine andere Kategorie fallen als Geoblocking oder kaputte Links. Beim zweiten ist es ja so, dass die Information wirklich nicht auffindbar ist und deshalb für andere Nutzer irrelevant ist. Downvotes helfen das anzuzeigen.

Grundsätzlich stimme ich auch mit dir überein. So viel Information wie möglich sollte für Personen zugänglich sein. Open Science ? Super !

Was öffentlich finanziert wurde sollte auch der Öffentlichkeit frei zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Aber wie finanziert man Nachrichten ohne Staastmedien zu kreieren ?

Diese Kultursteuer die du ansprichst sind im Bereich Information ja die Rundfunkgebühren. Öffentlich rechtlicher Rundfunk ist eine super Erfindung.

Leider hat der ÖRR zur Zeit leider die Krise, dass viele Gebührenzahler das Vertrauen verloren haben und keine Möglichkeit haben, dies zu korrigieren. Intendanten kann man nicht abwählen und das ist auch gut so sonst wären sie schon längst Parteimitglieder und dadurch nicht mehr staatsfern.

Weil es aber keine Möglichkeit gibt das Handeln des ÖRR an den Willen seiner Gebührenzahler wieder anzupassen, fordern einige nun seine Abschaffung. Das wäre der Verlust eines unschätzbaren Gemeingut, finde ich, aber ich fürchte es könnte sehr wahrscheinlich dazu kommen.

Auch ich habe leider keine Lösung. Ich denke nur, dass wir als Gesellschaft resilienter gegenüber Krisen sind, wenn wir nicht ausschließlich auf einen ÖRR setzen sondern diversifizieren. Zum Beispiel durch eine diverse Landschaft privatwirtschaftlicher Medien (Podcasts, Online-Artikel, etc.), die dann auch finanziell diversifiziert sind.

Das ist die Idee. Wie finanziell diversifiziert die deutsche Medienlandschaft sein sollte, und wie viele Medienmogule es in Wirklichkeit gibt, steht auf einem anderen Blatt
