Es sind nicht nur fachkundige Autoren sondern vor allem Labore und andere Experten, die Tests durchführen.

Ja, die Stiftung Warentest ist völlig unabhängig — gerne auch bei Wikipedia die Hintergründe der Entstehung nachlesen.

Du kannst übrigens auch einzelne Testartikel ohne Abo kaufen. Da sie sich aber ausschließlich über die Tests finanzieren, sind die auch nicht frei verfügbar. Dafür gibt es eben auch keine Affiliate Links, Sponsoring oder Ähnliches. Die Testprodukte werden auch anonym im Einzelhandel gekauft.

Stiftung Warentest existiert weiterhin und das Abo ist jeden Cent wert.
